Latching Solenoid valves are a very eco friendly way for On/Off control of gases and fluids. The Latching Solenoid valve is briefly energised to change and maintain its state from i.e. closed to open or Open to Closed without the need for continuous electrical supply. When the valve is required to change state to close or open the electrical polarity is reversed and a brief power pulse applied. This reduces the amount of electricity required, reducing costs heat build up and extending coil life, this is ideal for battery powered applications.

We offer 2 types of Latching Solenoid Valve

Direct Acting Latching Solenoid Valve also known as these valves will open or close regardless of the pressure in the system and are ideally suited to low pressure, gravity fed and closed loop systems.

Servo Assisted Latching Solenoid Valve also known as these valves utilise the pressure differential across the solenoid valve to the open and close the valve via a pilot system and are ideally suited to high pressure and open to atmosphere systems.        (Green and Environmentally Friendly Solenoid Valves).
